Our Philosophy
Our preschool exists to assist parents in providing developmental experiences in order to expand each child's physical, spiritual, intellectual, social and emotional growth. We shall endeavor to provide a caring environment which fosters a positive self-image for each child.
Our Goals
It has always been the responsibility of Rehoboth to nurture God's children, youth, and adults in values appropriate to Christian scriptures. Bright Beginnings of Rehoboth Lutheran Church shall endeavor to provide the following:
- Socialization experiences for preschoolers.
- A positive, nurturing atmosphere that fosters a positive self-image for each child.
- A pre-school ministry to Rehoboth members and an outreach to the community.

Curriculum
Before children begin to read and perform other academic tasks, they must first gather meaning from the world and develop an awareness of concepts. In order to achieve this, children must have many satisfying sensory and sensory-motor experiences. They must be able to taste, touch, smell, hear and see.
We encourage each child to grow in an environment that will develop a positive self-concept, self-worth and self-respect resulting in self-motivation and feelings of accomplishment. Specific lesson plans are established from the five areas of learning:

- Social-Emotional Development: cooperating, sharing, taking turns, expressing feelings.
- Physical Development & Physical Fitness: small / large muscle development, development of senses, body awareness.
- Cognitive Experiences: reasoning, problem solving, size and shape recognition, language and communication, qualifying, recognizing likeness and differences.
- Creative Experiences and Expressions: exploration with a variety of media (paint, paper, glue, clay, etc.), music and artistic movement, dramatic play opportunities.
- Religious Development: an understanding of Jesus as God's son, and our friend, developing love and trust in God.
