The "Meals on Wheels" program provides meals delivered to the homebound elderly and other eligible recipients. Our local Meals-on-Wheels provides approximately 60 meals each day in Baden, Conway, Economy, Freedom, and New Sewickley. Each year Rehoboth volunteers to make baked goods. In June of 2006, we provided baked goods for the last two Sundays in June.
Guidelines for baked goods are as follows: no sugar or icing on baked goods (this makes it difficult to package), and no nuts. If the dessert is sugar-free, please mark it so. Canned diabetic fruit is acceptable.
Your volunteer baking will again be needed during the month of June. Any questions can be directed to Shirley Radish.
The Conway Meals on Wheels is in desperate need of your help. If you are interested in helping in the kitchen or as a delivery driver, they could use really use the help.
