Rehoboth's Endowment Fund

A financial endowment is a transfer of money or property donated to an organization (such as Rehoboth), with the stipulation that it be invested, and the principal remain intact. This allows for the donation to have a much greater impact over a long period of time than if it were spent all at once, due to compound interest. Endowments can be set up for scholarships, building funds, etc.

Charitable giving today includes a variety of options that go beyond regular weekly or monthly giving. You can give some or all of your assets to Rehoboth's Endowment Fund. Some of the gift options available are cash, publicly traded securities (stocks and mutual funds), real estate, bequests through a will or living trust, beneficiary proceeds, retirement assets such as IRAs, tax-sheltered annuities, and 401(k) and 403(b) plans, gift annuities, charitable remainder annuity trust, charitable remainder unitrust, life insurance, real estate retaining life estate, charitable lead trust, and any income-producing gifts. Each option has different benefits and also tax, legal, and financial implications. For futher information, we recommend you consult a lawyer and also someone on the Stewardship Committee.
