College Boxes

Each year in October, Women of the ELCA sponsor College Box Night during one of their regular meetings. They ask the congregation for donations such as: microwave popcorn, gum, soups, small cookie packages, pencils/pens, highlighters, post-it notes, or anything a college student would like to munch on or use that would be small enough to fit into a shoebox. They also accept monetary donations for postage and snacks. Women of the ELCA puts these boxes together and mails them to our church's college members.

This has been a great outreach to our college members in the past, so we are keeping up this tradition. There will be a box in the narthex in the fall for your donations.

If you have a college student in your immediate family, please contact Janet George or Pam Zatchey to give them the college address.

College Box Night for 2008 will take place on October 9th at 7:00 PM. Collection for the college box items will begin on September 28th.

College Students for the 2008-2009 school year:
Lucas, Jillian, Ashlee, Brianna, Lisa, Christine, Brett, Emmalynn, and Julie.

College Students for the 2007-2008 school year:
Lucas, Jillian, Ashlee, Brianna, Lisa, Eric, Christine, Katie, Brett, Kara, Jarred, Carrie, Laura, Emmalynn, and Jodi.
