The sign-up sheet is located in the narthex on the bulletin board, so just pencil in your name. Please consider taking a turn at hosting what many refer to as an important fellowship activity. Team up with a friend or another family. If you have any questions, talk with Lorrie Kuny.
Fall Pig Roast
Rehoboth has gone “hog” wild!
Well, not exactly . . . but if you’ve never been to a pig roast, here’s your chance! Instead of scheduling a hayride at Yeck Farms; this year, the Fellowship Committee opted to host a fall festival event for members on Saturday, September 26th at the church beginning around 3:00 PM. Bring along the entire family and enjoy pulled pork sandwiches, potato packets and yummy s’mores! Festivities begin around 3:00 PM so bring a lawn chair to sit outside and enjoy the fall foilage, or play a variety of games like Cornhole, Bocce or try your hand at horseshoes. Food (pulled pork sandwiches, chicken, kielbasa, potato packets, cider and apple juice) will be ready around 4:30 PM served in the hall, buffet style. Games for the kids include pumpkin decorating, bobbin' for apples, flashlight tag (bring your own) and pony rides! Roast a marshmallow or two over the newly constructed bon fire pit while Pastor Eric leads us in some campfire songs. Don’t forget to RSVP on the narthex sign-up sheet to let us know you’re planning to attend.
Fellowship Hayride Event - Fall 2008

Join us for a fall, family hayride at Yeck Farms (568 Baker Road off Landis Road/Rt. 989 in New Sewickley Twp.) on Sunday afternoon, September 28th beginning at 4:00 PM. If you’ve never made plans to attend, here’s your chance especially since we opted for a daylight ride earlier in the season. Fellowship will provide the hot dogs, drinks and s’mores, so we’re asking each family to bring along your favorite finger food to share with everyone. We’ll gather at the brand new pavilion with red shingles just past the Yeck family homestead. Let us know if you’re planning to attend with an rsvp on the bright orange sign up sheet in the narthex. Wagon space is limited so be sure to reserve your spot. Don’t forget lots of blankets (just in case the weather is cool). Any questions, please talk with a representative from the Fellowship Committee.

($16.00) 3rd Annual Cookie Walk Rehoboth’s 3rd Annual Cookie Walk is scheduled for the second Sunday in Advent, December 13, 2009 following our worship service. You certainly don’t want to miss out on the chance to purchase some delicious baked goods to treat your family or share with friends and neighbors. Members will be invited downstairs to hand select from an assortment of holiday cookies and sweet treats. Pricing for cookies is $4.00 per dozen or buy 4 dozen at a cost of $16.00 and receive one dozen FREE! It’s certainly a sweet tooth lover’s bargain! Several raffle items are expected again this year, including another hand-sewn quilt by the Mission:Action ladies! But, in order for this event to be successful, the Fellowship Committee still needs members to donate homemade cookies and nut or pumpkin rolls, so check out the suggested list posted on the bulletin board in the narthex. If you are able and willing, let us know what kinds of cookies you can bake and how many. Drop them off on Sunday morning before the worship service and we’ll display all the goodies for purchase after the service. Please contact a committee member if you have any questions. All proceeds from this year’s fundraiser benefit the kitchen renovation fund. Back by popular demand, Rehoboth’s Fellowship Committee delightfully announced the 2nd Annual Cookie Walk on Sunday, December 14th, 2008 following our worship service downstairs in the Fellowship Hall. 2007 year’s event was so successful due to the generosity and talents of so many church bakers . . . we’re looking forward to repeating that success in 2008! So be sure to include Rehoboth on your holiday baking list if possible. All proceeds from this year’s fundraiser benefit the purchase of new appliances for the kitchen. Let any member of the Fellowship Committee know which cookies were your favorites! A list of cookies, bars, candies and confections were identified on the bulletin board in the narthex. Remember, the more you bake, the more we make! We're asking for a minimum of four dozen of each kind of treat. This is such a fantastic way to support the Kitchen Fund and at the same time purchase festive cookies to last throughout the holidays. If you have a favorite recipe to share which is not listed on the sign-up sheet, please contact Lorrie Kuny. On December 16, 2007, the Fellowship Committee organized Rehoboth's 1st Annual Cookie Walk. It was an enormous success with over 50 awesome "bakers" who donated delicious homemade Christmas cookies - all 250 dozen worth! We raised an incredible $803 for our youth to attend the 2009 National Youth Gathering in New Orleans, Louisiana. Three different raffles were pulled and the lucky winners were: Mary Jane Hartge - ceramic battery-operated ferris wheel; Rich Shoup - adorable homemade gingerbread house; and Karen Szatkiewicz - ceramic "frosty" snowmen grouping. Thanks to all the bakers, helpers, and people who made this event possible and thanks to all of the members who braved the cold and rainy weather to purchase the cookies and sweet treats that were available (including peanut brittle, chocolate covered oreos and pretzels, lady locks, and pizzelles).
Rehoboth’s Annual Church Picnic
The annual Rehoboth church picnic will be held on Sunday, June 7th to honor the 2009 graduates, celebrate a great year of Sunday School, and give a sneak peak of this year's VBS "Discovery Canyon." The Youth Board with provide hotdogs, hamburgers, and drinks. The Fellowship Committee will provide an Ice Cream Bar dessert. Please sign up in the Narthex to bring a side dish and get ready for a fun afternoon! Please contact Missy Steines-Wolfson or Julie Slingluff for additional information.
Fellowship Adult Dinner Event
Saturday, April 12, 2008 The Fellowship Committee invited all adults of Rehoboth to attend a special dinner event on April 12th. This was a special event geared towards adults and they needed to bring their sense of humor. They were also asked to come poorly dressed. Mystery Dinner Revealed! For those who weren’t able to attend the Fellowship Committee’s “mystery dinner” on Saturday, April 12th, you missed a rare opportunity to watch adults struggle to eat a simple meal of beef, mashed potatoes, gravy and vegetables! Upon arrival, thirty seven curiosity seekers were a bit confused as to the Fellowship Committee members’ (and their spouses) dress. All were a bit unkempt, similar to that of hobos. Our evening’s hosts, Lori and Lorrie, asked each guest to take a seat and not peak under the bed sheets that covered each table. Hard for some to resist, but all followed directions. Once the sheets were removed, people laughed uncontrollably to discover unique kitchen, baking, children’s items and even a couple animal containers as their table settings. Can you imagine having to use either an ice cream scooper, baby spoon, or even a turkey baster as your combined fork, spoon and knife to eat with! And what about a doggie dish, kitty litter pan, or loaf pan baking dish as your plate! As each food item was served, the laughter grew louder! Eating peas and corn with ice tongs does present a bit of a challenge! Think the dirt and kitty litter desserts topped off the meal. Entertainment involved guessing actual simple drawings that caregivers would use to let the homeless people know where they could get a free meal during a time when people struggled just to survive before soup kitchens and safe houses were established. Because everyone was such good sports about the entire evening, a drawing was held for a $25 gift certificate from The Olive Garden. Our winner, Joe Penfield, plans to enjoy a meal eating with a traditional knife, fork, spoon, plate and glass! The Fellowship Committee would like to thank all those in attendance for their terrific sense of humors, along with Heidi Hartge who did a great job in helping out in the kitchen for us.
Fellowship Meet & Greet Our Bishop
February 10, 2008 The fellowship committee hosted a Meet & Greet for Bishop Kusserow during coffee hour since he was here preaching at Rehoboth. We served delicious warm cinnamon rolls and coffee cake along with fresh fruit, orange juice, and coffee. We had the tables covered with our new Lord's Supper tablecloths. We also presented the Bishop with a gift basket which contained a nice variety of items which included: two bottles of Mr. Kuny's homemade wine, a quart jar of homemade tomato soup, homemade jams, homemade salsa, fair trade coffee, 2 "treats in a jar": a soup and hot cocoa, chocolate covered pretzels and oreos, a Rehoboth cookbook, a Rehoboth t-shirt from the apparel contest all nestled in a fair trade woven desk basket. We also gave him the dozen yellow roses from the buffet table to give to his wife. All of the fellowship tables were full so we're guessing that around 85 attended this event. Thanks to all who made this a success!
Fellowship Game Night
Feb 9, 2008 Approximately 20 adults and 16 children attended our Fellowship Game Night on Saturday, Feb 9th. The adults started out with a fun game of charades while the kids went to a game of knee hockey. Then groups broke out and played various other games which included Mexican dominoes, Apples to Apples, and Guesstures. A terrific variety of snack foods were enjoyed by all which included chicken dip, taco salad, homemade salsa w/ chips, shrimp appetizer, cheeze ball w/crackers, potato chips & dip, pretzels, cheese balls, candy, and homemade hullless popcorn. A fun time was had by all!
