On December 19th, Rehoboth hosted its first Live Nativity. Over 300 people attended, on this cold and snowy evening. The snow provided a beautiful backdrop for 5 different scenes depicting the Christmas story. It took several months of planning and many individuals to help make this such a huge success. Julie Whalen and Heather Goncz were responsible for the costumes, Craig Wicks created the stable, Bob Morrison (Julie’s step-dad) cut out the 8-foot camels and numerous sheep (at the last minute!), Debbie Vidovich for her creative ideas and Pastor for providing the written narrative. We enlisted “non” Rehoboth members too. Cameron Davidson recorded and copied the CDs and Roy and Vicki Yeck provided Conrad the donkey, Mary the Sheep and Belle the beautiful calf. It took over 30 volunteers the night of the Nativity. We accepted non-perishables for the Baden “We Care” Food Pantry. We received 15 bags of food and $91 to be donated. Thanks to all who helped, donated or visited.
