COUNCIL MINUTES

MEMBERS PRESENT: Donna DuPont, Wes Hill, Tom Kuny, Bill Slingluff, Karen Szatkiewicz , Royce Wilhelm and Pastor Eric
CONGREGATIONAL MEMBER: Scott Shoup
MEMBERS ABSENT: Rob Hicks, Dee Phillips
Opening Devotions – Pastor opened the meeting with prayer. Rob will lead the devotions for May.
Secretary’s Report – Minutes were tabled until May meeting.
Treasurer’s Report –.Debbie Jasinski was not present.
- Tom reported that nothing is outstanding. April should have put us in the black.
- Filed for audit
Pastor’s Report – Pastor Eric presented a written report. Pastor discussed holding a New Member class. Possibility of using “What is a Lutheran?” or “Baptized! We Live!” and invited any members who would like to attend.
Committee Reports
- Bright Beginnings – Pastor reported that Marcie was given a written warning for insubordination. Documentation has been made.
- Building Expansion Committee – Royce handed out copies of the Bid Proposal, etc. (See attached)
- Royce walked Council through the proposal to be presented at the Congregational meeting on Sunday, May 2, 2010.
- Royce made a motion to proceed with Veon Construction per the attached proposal for $845,000 and the purchase and install of copper roof on expansion, not to exceed $10,000. Second. Motion carried. - Building Monitoring Committee
- Royce reported the following have volunteered to serve:

New Business
- Thank You Notes & Reminders for Building Pledges
- Stewardship Committee – Wes Hill, Ch. will coordinate the mailing. Committee members are Jack Dewar, Donna DuPont, Alex Frantz, Carol Nicoletti and Debbie Vidovich - Vacation for Rose Ann Holcomb – Secretary
- Royce made a motion to approve Rose Ann’s vacation from
June 17-28. Seconded. Motion carried. - Boy Scout Projects – Tom reported two scouts are preparing for their
- Eagle Scout badge. One scout will stain the pavilion and picnic tables. The other scout will clean the Nature Trail and provide benches to sit on throughout the trail. - Meeting for Update on ELCA Human Sexuality Statement
- Sunday, May 16, 2010 at 6:30 pm in the Fellowship Hall.
Adjourn – Royce made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Seconded. Motion carried.
